Karen Sargeant, Co-Founder
Karen has been involved in the beauty and medical aesthetics industries for over 30 years. She runs her own anti-ageing clinics and works alongside a leading plastic surgeon based in Harley street providing advanced aesthetic treatments to compliment the surgical procedures.
In the early stages of her career, she successfully headed a large chain of beauty salons, developing a brand that would lead the way in ‘day spa’ therapies.
Her passion was always as an educator and, in 1993, she moved into training, which led on to heading a large beauty therapy department within an FE college. A key role was to raise the standards of teaching and learning within the centre and she worked closely with City & Guilds in the origination of new courses.
In 2000, Karen moved into medical aesthetics and was innovative in merging the beauty and medical industries into Aesthetics as we know it today.
Karen went on to gain her BTEC qualification in Laser and IPL procedures and became a council member for BABTAC advising on advanced courses.
She is a regular contributor to magazine and press articles and is invited as a guest speaker and industry expert at beauty trade shows and seminars.
Karen specialises in IPL & Laser therapies, skin health & anti-ageing with an interest in facial pigmentation and vascular disorders.
